Three great five star reviews for Its A Dog's Life.

5.0 out of 5 stars A thrilling, fast--paced read, 4 Nov 2011
This review is from: It's A Dog's Life (A DI Lorne Simpkins novellette) (Kindle Edition)
I loved the DI Lorne series by Mel Comley and this short story featuring her was a thrilling, fast-paced read. It's horrendous what these poor ex-greyhounds go through. Kudos to Mel Comley for raising awareness and donating the proceeds to PUPS.

Another story featuring DI Lorne Simpkins, this time she's out to stop the cruelty of greyhounds at the end of their racing career.

Congratulations to Mel Comley for highlighting this sensitive issue, and for donating the proceeds of the novellette to P.U.P.S.

This is a fast and heart gripping read, which will have you drawn in right from the start...

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow. Just.. wow., 8 Nov 2011

This book touched me in ways I can't describe with words and had me close to tears. To think what these greyhounds go through when their career is over is just dreadful.

Mel Comley writes in such a way that you can't help but be moved by this story. With Lorne and Pete, who we love and trust, right in the middle of what's going on, it's another superb Lorne Simpkins story.

Mel Comley should be praised for raising the profile of such a hard topic and donating to PUPS. It takes a truly remarkable person to have the courage to write about something so close to the hearts of many. I think she has done a fantastic job with this book and I encourage everyone to read it
